| Q1 |
I haven't received my pre
registration email, what can I do? |
| A1 |
Some Internet Service Providers run slower than
others. Whereas most emails arrive in seconds, some can take minutes or even
hours. Occasionally, the email might be blocked by your Provider. It is also
possible that you entered your email address incorrectly. |
| Q2
|
When I try to submit my registration
form, I am told that my email address is invalid. What is the solution? |
| A2 |
This problem is usually caused by the last few characters of your email address
having been cut-off in the link emailed to you.
The solution is to copy the whole link in the email and paste it into the
address bar of your browser. Make sure you select the entire link without any
spaces before pasting it in. |
| Q3 |
When I am filling in the registration
form I am unable to move down the screen as there are no scroll bars on the
right hand side. Is there a way I can force scroll bars to appear on the page? |
| A3 |
This problem can be solved by moving the frame at
the edge of the page with the mouse. Resizing the window should mean that the
scroll bars appear, allowing you to complete the registration form. |
| Q4 |
I can sign in on the first page and

| Q6 |
When my emails open the pictures have been replaced with boxes with
red crosses in them, why is this happening? |
| A6 |
This can happen if your email software is set to block the downloading of
pictures (for example, the default setting of MS OUTLOOK 2003 is to block
pictures). To change the settings to allow you to view the pictures in your
email do the following:
-
On the Tools menu, click Options.
-
Click the Security tab.
-
Under Download Pictures, click Change Automatic Download
Settings.
-
Clear (uncheck) the Don't download pictures or other content automatically
in HTML e-mail check box.
|
| Q7 |
I have a hotmail account and have
not been receiving my Newsletter, what has happened to
them? |
| A7 |
The emails may have been delivered to your "Junk Email" folder. To
prevent this happening in future, select the required messages by using the
checkboxes and then clicking the "Not Junk" button.
|
| |
If the emails are not in your "Junk
Email" folder try the following:
-
Click on Options.
-
Go to Mail Options.
-
Click on Junk E-Mail Protection.
-
Click on Safe List.
-
Enter "RemoteBidder@i-bidder.com" in the address box.
-
Click the Add button.
-
Enter "RemoteBidder@i-bidder.com".
-
Click the Add button.
This will ensure that messages from these addresses will not be treated as junk
in future.

| Q8 |
I have Zone Alarm Pro installed and am having trouble logging in, what should I do ? |

Choose the Site List tab from the options at the top
-
Scroll down and find the entry for remotebidder.i-bidder.com

I click on the Go To Live Auction button and see the message "Requires Flash v.9.0" |
| |
Live Bidder requires Flash Player v.9.0. If Flash Player is not installed or you have an old version, this message will appear when you open the live bidder window. Click the Get Flash link and follow the instructions on the Adobe website. Flash v.9.0 is FREE and the installation process is simple and quick. Once Flash Player is installed, close the live bidder window and click the Go to Auction button again.
Get Flash Player
|
| Q10 |
I have installed the current version of Flash Player on my Mac but continue to be shown the message "Requires Flash 9" |
| A10 |
Some Macs do not uninstall existing older versions of Flash Player when a new one is installed. These must be removed before the Live Bidder can be used. Due to recent enhancements to the Adobe Flash Player installers, you can now remove the player only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller. To remove Flash Player, simply download and run the appropriate uninstaller for your system by clicking the link below.

| Q11 |
When the Live Bidder opens I get a message saying it cannot connect to the auction |
| |
If your Live Bidder loses connection to the internet the "Connection to auction lost" warning window will appear. If this happens check that you are connected to the internet and then reload the application by refreshing the window (Windows Internet Explorer and Firefox: F5, Mac Safari : Apple + r).
If this message appears when you first open the Live Bidder, and you are connected to the internet, it may be that you have a firewall that is preventing you connecting to the auction. If this is the case, you need to open port 8013 on your firewall. Please note that you may also need to open port 1935 in order to listen to the auction. |
